Frequently Asked Questions Frequently Asked Questions
What is Magnoli Clothiers?

Magnoli Clothiers is dedicated to the reproduction of vintage clothing, historic suits and popular film costumes, especially from the 1930s and 1940s. These reproductions, however, are not costume pieces, but tailor-made, high-quality clothing.

What else can you make?

Any piece of mens clothing that you can provide images of can be reproduced. We can copy a garment you already own, or, by analyzing various images, we can reproduce any article from photograph or film stills.

How do I send you my measurements?

Measurements are sent independently of orders and are not part of your on-line account. Because of the different construction methods used for fabric and leather garments, there are two seperate forms for these articles. Each form can be found in the lower right hand column. All measurements will be kept on file and can be adjusted for future orders.

Do you have other materials/colors?

Although we only display a small selection of materials/colors for each design, any material seen on our site can be used to make any suit. We have literally hundreds of various fabrics and colors available, so feel free to contact us with your requests. Swatches can be sent for a small fee. E-mail us for details.

How long does a particular item take to make?

All tailor-made clothes on the site can take up to four weeks to complete from time of payment. Shoes and boots can take up to six weeks. Shipping generally takes an additional week. Some non-tailored items (such as journals and accessories) may be in stock and ready to ship immediately. Feel free to e-mail us with any questions.

How should I care for my clothes?

All clothes are best to be professionally dry-cleaned and pressed before wearing. Cotton items (such as shirts and some pants) can be machine-washed, but hand-washing is recommended as this will prolong the life of your garment, and line-dried. Avoid using dryers as these can shrink cotton. All clothes can be ironed on an appropriately low setting, preferably with a clean cloth between the iron and garment.
What currency is used on your site?

All prices are listed in USD.

Do you accept any other forms of payment besides Paypal?

We prefer Paypal, but under some situations we may accept US Postal or Western Union money orders. This will have to be arranged before placing the order.

Feel free to e-mail us with any other questions.
